Our Story
Running one of the best home remodeling companies in Florida has always been an ambitious dream for Matt Hughes. Matt grew up and lives in Central Florida and received his MBA at UCF. He started his career in Sales and Project Management over two decades ago which taught him how to focus on delivering value and meeting customer needs. Matt continued to advance his career as a Business and Information Technology leader, but realized that his true passion, running his own home remodeling business, went unanswered.
More than a dozen years ago, Matt embarked on an entrepreneurial path to renovate residential kitchens and bathrooms for real estate investment opportunities. It was during this phase of his life that Matt realized that there was a significant shortage in Florida for residential remodeling contractors with strong business ethics, superior products, excellent craftsmanship, and unmatched customer satisfaction. Following his passion, with unwavering support from his family, Matt launched Premier Cabinets and Countertops in 2018. He loves what he does every day: creating the perfect kitchen or bathroom for his customers.
As President, Matt is committed to creating value and customer satisfaction, and creating an outstanding workplace for his highly skilled employees.
Matt and his wife Laura live in Longwood Florida. They have been happily married for more than two decades and have three active children.

For cabinet, drawer, and bathtub refinishing, we ensure during the preparation and installation stages that maximum durability and adhesion are achieved. High-detail items such as doors and drawer fronts are inspected closely. Cabinets and drawers are carefully disassembled and painted in a spray booth under low pressure using professional equipment for a beautiful factory-smooth finish. All prep and installation processes are combined with manufacturer specifications, industry best practices, and years of experience to ensure that you get beautiful, high-quality, long-lasting results.
We Stand Behind Our Products and Services. Premier stands behind our craftsmanship and manufactured products. New quartz countertops come with a limited lifetime warranty. New cabinets come with a manufacturer warranty that protects you from factory defects. The warranty period and the specifics of what is covered depends on the manufacturer and the product(s) that you’ve purchased. For Premier bathtub and tile refinishing services, we include an industry-leading 5-year limited warranty. Cabinet painting services are covered with a 3-year limited warranty. You can rest easy knowing that you are under warranty if a manufacture or an installation defect arises during the warranty period.
